Bentley Oliver for U.S. Senate

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 20, 2026

Bentley Oliver for U.S. Senate respects your privacy. We collect only the information needed to respond to you, provide information you request, operate the campaign, and comply with the law.

Information You Choose to Provide

We may collect information you voluntarily provide when you:

  • Join the campaign
  • Volunteer
  • Request campaign updates
  • Contact the campaign
  • Submit a pledge
  • Make a contribution
  • Complete another campaign form

This may include your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, volunteer interests, and any message you choose to provide.

For political contributions, federal law may also require us to collect information such as your employer and occupation.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide only to:

  • Send information you requested
  • Respond to your questions or messages
  • Contact you about a pledge you submitted
  • Coordinate volunteer activity you requested to join
  • Process political contributions
  • Maintain legally required campaign records
  • Comply with federal and state law
  • Protect the website and campaign systems

We do not use supporter information for unrelated commercial purposes.

We Do Not Sell or Trade Your Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or voluntarily provide supporter information to other campaigns, advertisers, data brokers, or mailing-list companies.

We do not share your information for targeted advertising.

Political Contributions

Campaign contributions may be processed through an authorized payment processor, such as WinRed.

The payment processor receives the information necessary to complete the transaction. The campaign does not directly store complete payment-card information.

Federal campaign-finance law requires political committees to collect, retain, and report certain contribution information. Information reported to the Federal Election Commission may become publicly available, including a contributor’s name, location, employer, occupation, contribution date, and contribution amount.

These legal disclosures are required campaign-finance reporting, not the sale or voluntary sharing of supporter information.

Pledges

Submitting a pledge is not a political contribution and does not create an obligation to donate.

We will use pledge information only to contact you when the campaign is legally and technically able to accept your contribution.

Website Information

The website may automatically receive limited technical information needed to operate securely, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Date and time of access
  • Pages requested
  • Basic security and error logs

We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

The website may use essential cookies required for security, forms, preferences, or basic operation. We will not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies unless this policy is updated to disclose that change.

Email and Text Messages

When you provide your email address or telephone number and request campaign communications, we may use that information to send the requested updates.

You may unsubscribe from email using the unsubscribe link in the message.

Where text messaging is offered, you may opt out by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply.

We will not contact you for unrelated purposes merely because you submitted a question or another limited request.

Service Providers

Most campaign activities will be handled internally.

Some outside systems may still be necessary to operate the website or complete an action you request, such as:

  • Website hosting
  • Email delivery
  • Form delivery
  • Banking
  • Contribution processing
  • Required campaign-finance reporting

These services receive only the information necessary to perform that specific function.

We do not authorize them to use campaign supporter information for their own unrelated marketing.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to:

  • Fulfill your request
  • Conduct the campaign activity you joined
  • Maintain security records
  • Resolve a dispute
  • Meet legal, financial, or campaign-finance requirements

Information that is no longer needed will be deleted or securely disposed of when reasonably practical.

The FTC recommends collecting only what is needed, retaining it only as necessary, and protecting what is kept.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information.

No website or electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send Social Security numbers, complete financial-account information, medical records, or other highly sensitive information through general campaign forms or email.

Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us to request its removal.

Your Choices

You may contact the campaign to:

  • Correct information you provided
  • Stop campaign communications
  • Ask what information you submitted
  • Request deletion of information that we are not legally required to retain

Some contribution and compliance records cannot be deleted when federal law requires the campaign to retain or report them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if campaign operations, website functions, or legal requirements change.

The effective date at the top of this page will show the most recent update.
